Why apply?
As a professional artist, you gain access to one of Sweden’s bestequipped collective workshops.
Textiltryck Malmö is a non-profit association dedicated to enabling professional artists, craftspeople, and designers to work with textile printing in shared workshop facilities. Since its inception in 1983, the association has served as a growing platform for textile art in southern Sweden.
“A place in the heart of the city where creators from the cultural and creative sectors can practice their profession, grow, share knowledge, foster community, and build networks. It is also a cooperative platform and a space for testing ideas, creating prototypes, and producing test prints.
I am captivated and amazed every time I step into these premises on Korsgatan; this is a workshop where textile works are created that are both functional and imbued with symbolism and dreams. Works that carry life stories and inspire reflection and contemplation.
Textiltryck Malmö is a vital part of the city’s creative ecosystem, capable of opening doors for new, curious talents and creators while fostering cross-pollination with other industries.”
– Caroline B Le Bongoat, Business Development Officer, City of Malmö
